So I recently applied for a position as a training specialist, but I feel like I’m more than qualified to look for other roles. I have work in finance, but I do have my PMP, but I haven’t led any large projects, just assisted on them any advice to a young professional that just graduated with an MPA Fiserv, Inc

i talked to my therapist about this, and she said unfortunately although there’s supposed to have been a big culture shift around disabilities, people don’t usually align with the big picture messaging. in her experience working with patients, disclosing ADHD often lead to people subconsciously being less trusted by their bosses
for that reason, i don’t think it would be beneficial to disclose your diagnosis unless it is directly to HR to get workplace accommodations that can actually help you accomplish your work better (i.e. noise-cancelling headphones, receiving meeting notes, etc.)

Hold off on disclosing anything until, at minimum, you are well established in your role. If you are applying for accommodations, you will have to disclose to HR, but that’s it.
Pace of work is usually slower “in-house” than as a consultant. Try to be humble and get a feel for the culture/ways of working before trying to implement big changes (unless you were brought in for that, of course).
Sage advice here from posters…
