Absolutely! Ask your gate agent or call the airlines! My dad did it all the time
Yeah, for sure. I see it happen all the time! Just ask your wife to send some alcohol to the back 😉
FWIW, your 15 month-old is a toddler, not an infant. Far more importantly, good luck on flight
Might be worth giving your wife the option of staying in coach but without baby as well. That could be more desirable sometimes!
I did that once with my two infants. The flight was miserable but my wife was appreciative.
For sure
I always offer to swap the upgrade with my wife. I figure that I’m traveling all the time and get a fair amount of upgrades, so why not spread the wealth a bit. She was real appreciative on our way back from our he Caribbean when I had our 3 & 8 year olds in coach and she got to actually relax to end our trip.
Scored some nice “spouse points” on that one
Yea
Thanks everyone...very helpful indeed. My daughter wouldn’t leave my wife for over an hour and vice-versa. So having the infant with me in coach isn’t an option I would still have a 4 yo to deal with in coach. I was just worried about the perception of having an infant in business class in an upgraded seat.
If infant is small enough, you can reserve a bassinet. They have them in coach and biz
GS here. I usually call the desk and find what it would take to upgrade them with me and sometimes they make it happen
