What are your current rates of interest on the loans?
Obviously the CC. Like there’s no question. It’s math.
Yes so what is your interest rate on your cc debt and on your car? You can either pay off the higher interest first or snowball it
It is a no brainer based on the interest rate, yes. Without question.
Then as you and others said the math is on the side of paying off the CCs.
Your next choice is do you take the amount you were making in CC payments and use it to knock out the car loan or invest it? That's ultimately a question of your own priorities, risk tolerance and expected returns.
How disciplined have you been about not accumulating more debt? I ask because you are unlikely to go get another car loan but without the discipline it's easy to start swiping the cc again.
That is a fair question. I think I’ve been very disciplined. My cc has been locked and tucked away since the beginning of this year, and I’ve gotten into the groove of not purchasing anything that’s not a necessity unless I have the actual cash for it.
