I'm a US citizen living abroad I applied almost 11 months ago for my spouse. Married for years, kid. I wait and wait. It seems this will take 2 years, maybe more. I feel trapped. On one side the US system demands I work and domicile in US, the other side says families should be prioritized to stay together. My spouse has had enough of the process. Is my relationship worth it? Met my SO of 3 years senior year of college. Hoped we would graduate and start our full time jobs together, but my SO is unfortunately still in school (switched majors, transferred schools, etc). HELP! 30+ years of teaching Sped and I’m at a loss. 6th grade student in Middle School with Doose syndrome. Prior to MS, the elementary said he never caused problems. Since the 1st day, he is disruptive in class, refuses to work, and is disrespectful. He has a one-on-one para but she is in tears most days because of his behavior. Parents agreed with a behavior plan - he thinks it’s a game. Parents say he is not allowed to be this way at home.

Anyone here ever been scared by some major differences in materialism with your partner? I’ve been considered “boujee” by some friends but my girlfriend of just over a year is on a whole other level. Lately because of many of her friends getting engaged / married, rings have been mentioned and she’s said pretty much she wouldnt be happy with under 25k.

I come from a very middle class upbringing, and so does she, although she’s influenced by friends dating professional athletes and stuff

The biggest thing I keep running and running around my head- after 8 months, why did he drop me? When he texted ending it l….it wasn’t me, like we weren’t us, his words were from someone else, like I didn’t matter. It doesn’t matter how much it wasn’t about me, how he chose to end it, and that’s what crushed me. Who I thought I knew was wrong. I want to know how close he was to loving me.

How is everyone taking time to indulge in Self Care now that most of us are either about to go back to work, or have started back up with students? I’m having mixed feelings of going back on my end and would love to hear how others are feeling too!

My SO was going through some issues over a year ago and decided to use the counselor services provided through her workplace. She mentioned that her plan only covered some sessions so she was trying to figure how she could continue counseling. That was that.

My mom and dad are separating (bad terms) and not speaking, but my mom asks me about him everyday. She knows I don’t want to talk to him or about him, but continues to bring it up everyday.. Question: Girl friends parents finally came over for a ristha. Everything went great or so I thought but now she wants to time to think about moving forward. The pain point she brought up is that we are in different states and she is feeling pressed. Although in that time she has started communicating less and I literally had to beg her to get on face time. My gut says she wants to end it but unsure. Any advice ? So I just moved states. I’m staying with a parent for a while in a pretty large house and my cat keeps hiding for hours on end (I think to snooze). Any thoughts? She’s spent time with me and I walked around with her while she explores. And she’s ventured solo. Seemed she’s warming up well. Except this again. I admit it’s giving me horrible anxiety that she won’t respond at all until I locate her because even I’m learning where things are and want her to be safe. This is the third time 😭

Struggling with a friendship that has become toxic & fills me with anxiety. various factors have caused us to drift but it feels like nothing I say or do now is right. The issues seem to really come to a head for one when she is drunk, using it to air grievances with me. When sober she doesn’t feel like talking about it. It feels like we are pretending to be best friends because of history but the substance isn’t there and I just want out of it. Can anyone offer advice?

2 days ago i told the resp on the phone i had a divorce petition to mail him and needed his address. He said he would call me back with the address because he was driving, just moved to a new place, and didn't have it memorized. He never gave it to me but i found it anyway and mailed it certified. Today i found out that he cleared out their bank account. Can i do an emergency hearing to get that money back? He does not physically have the petition yet but i definitely told him it was coming.
