I'm solid middle/ upper middle class with 2 kiddos and around $180k salary between me and husband. Right now I have some money in my work 401k and some in my work roth 401k, probably about $25k total. Is it worth transferring to a fidelity Ira so I can invest in stocks with good long term prospects like Microsoft, Amazon, and ARKF? How do people go about doing so, and if I transfer the whole balance while employed does it impact my previously received employer match?

- does your company allow in-service withdrawals (mine doesn’t allow withdrawal as a current employee)? If so, you can set up the direct link to an IRA. There may be a penalty from your fund manager.
- is your company match vested? If so, you shouldn’t lose it.
- do you have time to manage specific investments vs a fund? Do you not have funds in your company 401k that match this performance?

All good points thank you!

You'd want to look for new companies to buy stock in as those you mentioned are ridiculously expensive youd be able to buy max like 5 shares... I'd do research to put money in funds as that can be a bit safer and less work re: research

You can use a brokerage that allows for partial share ownership

In service withdrawal isn’t permitted in the CR plan before 59.5.

I made a mistake starting SIP in a ULIP. Used to invest 7500 per month starting from November 2018. I have discontinued my premium payments since last year. That is when my fund was moved to an interim surrender state and now it earns 4% per annum interest.

After 5 years of lock-in that is November 2023, can i withdraw the entire amount at a time? (Of course after paying surrender charges)

I am 34 yo, i graduated with 95k in student loans, i currently have 85k left and i make 85k in come. I’m also a single mom with two kids. Just praying for 100% student loans forgiveness. Hi folks, I had a quick question around remote work. My office is in San Francisco but I worked remotely from NJ for clients on the WC. How should I answer the question, “did you earn income working remotely by providing the services in a different state than the state you originally engaged employment with it”? If it matters, I never set foot in CA.

Anyone implementing RPA in Healthcare?

I’m interviewing with a startup and the range has a 40k difference from the lowest to highest point. It’s also pre-seed and comes with equity, and health, 401k benefits. It’s a director of sales role so I would eventually be recruiting and managing a team along with building the processes and strategy. What would you consider a fair compensation package? If they offer me something on the lower end of the range, is it still appropriate to counter with an offer that is over their stated range?
