I’m sorry but Boomers trying to fumble around Zoom continues to amuse me. I just had a guy refuse to electronically share a document as an exhibit in a deposition and tried to hold the document up to the camera instead where it was totally illegible. As one of the token millennials on the call, I stepped in and shared the document electronically for him.

That was by far funnier than any comedian or comedy I’ve ever seen. You couldn’t have scripted or cast it better.

Hilarious. I apologize on behalf of all of my Boomer peers. We deserve some slack because we grew up in a VERY different era. Nevertheless, this is remarkable ineptitude.

What should I reasonably expect from a junior?

I manage a junior developer that's been with the company for about 18 months. I end up providing them of TON of support. I need to give them extremely detailed instructions or they fail. For bugs, I need to point them to a specific function that's causing the bug. For new features, I'm basically writing their method signatures and defining their test cases.

I've tried asking them to do more on their own, but when I do, they fail spectacularly.

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?
