Care less is about the best advice someone can ever get. The only anxiety you have is around your concern to 1. Lose a job or 2. Lose your job because of your work. If your working that hard and producing even decent results, you aren’t losing your job. If you do lose your job there are plenty of other positions in consulting that you could take on. It also doesn’t manifest overnight. Set your goals, be in touch with your internal support and you are good as gold. I suffered from this for years and it nearly killed me. It’s when you just do your job and don’t give af is when you actually do better work and stay healthy. Easy to say, hard to practice. It’s continued improvement on your self being. Get some reset, fellow consultant
Nah don’t start with the drugs. This works for me: (1) workout during day, (2) avoid devices and avoid work as much as possible at night, (3) use Night Shift mode and put all the way to warm, (4) air conditioner all year long, and (5) sleep in total darkness, and (6) no TV at night in the bedroom.
Always keep this in mind: we're not saving lives and this is just a job. We have good days and bad as part of it, just take it one day at a time. If it's something that you did, own up to it and move forward. Don't let it linger because it's not worth it.
Zquil and melatonin
Journaling for a few mins before bed helped me. It was an outlet for thoughts that would keep me up otherwise.
I suggest you read the subtle art of not giving a fuck by mark manson, really puts things in perspective and has definitely improved my life
Have a good senior manager who keeps it cool. He always says work hard but nothing is worth loosing your mind

I guess it’s a bad sign that I can’t do any of the lifestyle things... I pretty much work continuously from 8 am to 9 or 10 pm most weeknights. :(
