Interviewing for Business Development Manager role at Morgan Stanley... Does anyone know what this role is like/what it entails?

Hi! The role I interviewed for has been deprioritised. Has anyone else experienced this? This was announced 2days before the hiring freeze.. should I assume the job will be cancelled? Or in your opinion, are roles likely to be open again? This is a non tech role as a Research & Insights lead for Google Apps.

In this field, when choosing a masters degree program is it more beneficial to get a degree in Human Resources to further my knowledge in HR (my undergraduate degree is in Economics) , an MBA, or Data Science Degree due to the fact that HR is becoming more data driven as well as get a PHR / SHRM-CP certification?

Thoughts on “special” salary grades. I just found out the VP I was offered is not a grade 12 like most comparable roles (verified). Also not an 11, but an 11A. Slightly higher than an 11, a good bit lower than a 12. All due to the fact that it’s a leap from my current position. Why should that matter…..shouldn’t it pay what it should pay if I am selected, rather that curving down towards my current rate?

I am a project coordinator but I do everything under the sun. Created project tracker. M/SM and above, why do you label a meeting as “touch point” or ask if you can have a “quick chat” when it’s something serious? Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. Curious normal commission payouts as a 1099 advisor part of an RIA. Currently I see net payouts starting at 40-50% and moving up to 80%+ of gross commission. (AUM, insurance, BD products). I know a lot of factors go into it, but trying to get an average lay if the land.
