If your company, or one you’re familiar with, was office-based but is considering allowing some roles to be remote going forward, have you heard how the company is approaching reimbursement for in-office meetings? We’ve recently been told “if a role was office-based and you moved away” OR “if a new hire takes a traditionally office-based role as remote” any travel back to the office is on your own dime. Any field/business travel would be reimbursed, but not mandatory office trips (“commutes”).

How to deal with not being staffed on deals and seeing others in your year be staffed? When asking partners directly for work, they refer you to the staffing partners. When asking staffing partners (repeatedly), they say “thanks for interest, we will have something soon.” Weeks and weeks pass by and you’re always below where you should be for billable hours (at this point, very far below).
