Yes, it’s inevitable at this point. Only thing is the other industries pay significantly lower. Tech is six figures and these other companies are offering like 60k. It’s terrible

I was actually thinking about leaving and switching to another industry too. But I am still staying positive because that move is not safe at the moment. Tech recruiting is not the only industry that's laying off people.
I would love to but even those roles don't seem to be hiring.
Yeah unfortunately the recruitment/TA side is taking the biggest hit unfortunately but I'm holding on for dear life that we'll get through it!
I’m looking at going to BDR/SDR type roles. My company started off paying 36k + commission in 2021. Then a few months in did a market adjustment and increased us to 45k in 2022. I was promoted next to 52k and made around 61k TC last year. So since my company is boutique and ran by people who aren’t very good sales leaders I want a company where not only can I apply my skillet but also grow as a sales person.
