Is anyone else working today? I logged on this morning and it looks like it’s basically just my boss and me online. No emails, no pings, no meetings. It's just that quiet, end of year calm that makes you wonder why you’re even here. I’m mostly online because I’m trying to save my PTO for next year, but it still feels a little strange working on December 24th when everything is this quiet. Curious who else is also working today?

Your ops team is most likely working all day. Thank them for carrying you.

Yep, worked till 315. I put PTO in for next Christmas Eve because I had anxiety all day from all the running around I had to do after work.

I usually try to work up until Christmas and take PTO after. No one is ever online!

Yes, best time of the year to work because there is no work as everyone else is out

I definitely was at work, but I can't say that I did much working. I have the next four days off and I'll get my work done between now and then, but I had absolutely zero motivation and a ton of things at home to focus on.

like

I'm in operations and I was "working" today. As in I had to do 10 minutes of tasks all day. We should've just given everyone the day off!

I always work Christmas Eve but never actually end up doing much work.
We get to WFH and more than half of my company including my bosses take time off, so whoever didn’t take time off saves a day annual leave and barely works! It’s great :D
