Are you aware of the CPA exam credit extension to 2021 for NY CPA candidates impacted by COVID19? It’s on a person-by-person basis and you need to request the extension. Has anyone tried doing this yet? Can anyone shine more light on this? The extension would really help me, but I’m not sure what more to tell them in my email than the fact that I couldn’t sit for the exams this Spring/Summer due to test centers closing in NYC.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

I’v been in digital marketing for almost 5 years. I want to switch to marketing operations or research, because I find I’m better at and more interested in market research, audience research than keyword research or writing ad copies. Currently stuck in risk but interested in Cyber. Have done one related engagement from a regulatory perspective. But a lot of posts here making me think it’s harder to break into than I expected (non-technical background). FS and consulting were only two careers I considered, nervous to start over since I am having success in consulting but want to scratch the itch of exploring finance. If I hate it finance and leave consulting on good terms are boomerangs very common?
