Totally cool. I left mine after 5 days
I left mine after 6 months, just don’t do it more than once. Left because work wasn’t challenging enough
Not feeling 2023 outlook economics wise where I am at (company is hurting).
It would either be a promotion to a different industry or back to public (different service line), not due to anything involuntary or performance wise. I get the “loyalty” bit but idk, lol.
i’d say just make sure you stay at your next spot for at least 2-3 years and you’ll be fine.
I second this. A staffing agency recruiter told me most companies look for a minimum 3 year tenure at one company. Although nowadays, I think that’s old generation thinking.
What you think is valid might not seem valid to your next interviewer. But it's not gonna ruin your career. You gotta do what you gotta do.
Oh is something bad going on in RSM?
Negative I’m in industry. Just layoffs in general spooking haha. Deals look dry.
I left one after 4 months and took it off my LinkedIn and resume. You can’t leave 9 months off your resume but plenty of people have left jobs that soon.
I've seen a manager with 4 consecutive 8 month stints at PA firms. You'll be fine.
Depends if you quit during/before busy season. If you want to go into industry accounting then that doesn’t look favorably. If you want to switch careers tho go for it lol
I’ve left two jobs before a year (6 months & 8 months) and also been laid off after a year recently at another job. As long as you can tell a good story about it you’re fine.
I started to look for a new industry role several months into the 1st one and got asked constantly in the interview. Now I'm on the new job and will try to stay here for at least 2-3 years.
