You're an accountant you should know as well as anyone how easy it is to manipulate numbers like unemployment. And most of this so called job growth is in gov jobs which are a drain on tax payers. As far as the stock market goes that is irrelevant to 90% of Americans who are dealing with such aggressive inflation they have $0 dollars left to contribute to their 401Ks let alone individual investment activities. In fact many have had to take a massive penalty and pillage their 401Ks to cope with a terrible job market and crushing inflation. But I guess you wouldn't hear that from your ivory tower (that reference too esoteric for you too bud?) sorry must I just use tiktoc talk for you to manage to grasp any meaning in my words? Seriously though why don't you try volunteering and talking to the average Americans and ask them why they aren't jumping for joy that the rich are getting richer off of stock market gains of which the average American has no meaningful piece.

It’s all India and outsourcing. There is a shortage of accountants in the US. A third of accountants have retired or are retiring in the next few years (baby boomers).
However all firms are moving operations to India and laying off onshore staff (for better margins). That creates the artificial supply of accountants in the US. It’s funny that people who are in a country that doesn’t follow US GAAP are the ones auditing US companies.
I hope that one day the SEC says that’s enough, you can’t outsource certain functions anymore.
Then they just say “train India better”
You got out on a PIP in like 2 months? You must be god awful. Try for entry level roles. You obvs just are not good. It’s okay. But leaving 4 months after being hired is a red flag. Why should firms hire you?
