I’ve been in accounting 5+ years, mostly AP/AR/payroll. I’m a veteran, mom of 4, and have ADHD. I had a Big 4 internship I loved—it kept my brain engaged—but now I’m in a stable 9–5 where I’m not learning or growing. I want to go back to Big 4 but I’m scared I’ll fail my kids or burn out. Has anyone made the leap with a family and felt it was worth it? I’m stuck between comfort and growth.

I was thinking of taking a lower position at some company and working myself up maybe BI to DA. I would like to work as a dev but a lot of the small companies are offering salaries significantly under 100 for jr dev roles. Any thoughts?

In the instance that someone goes from one big 4’s audit group to another’s FDD group, do they allow them to finish out their two weeks?

How do you transition from big 4 consulting to big law? My clients are all funds, and I do international tax consulting. I have used my connections to refer me into probably 10 big law firms and it’s not working. One most recently came back and said they aren’t interested bc I have no law firm experience. How am I supposed to get it though? I can’t go to lower ranked firms bc my clients are all “big.” … any suggestions appreciated!

During the interview, If the interviewer recommended you to talk to somebody else in the firm but not the original rescheduled interviewers,what does that mean? After the recommendation, he stopped asking me questions. And the conversation only covered about 60% of the whole interview timeline. Shall I follow up with him about the ‘mentioned talk’?

I always bill 100% of my time and for my entire career in public accounting I have never heard anything negative until recently.. I have two accepted offers with PwC next summer and would love to do both if the dates don't overlap (internship and a Masters fellowship).
