Just leave, since the 2 levels above you are gone no other options. Seriously, does your company have a HR department?
Triple OOO! Send the letter to the mailroom guy
Omfg even HR Is OOO
OP what’s your question? Is it: A) is it ethical to resign when half your team is gone on leave (ethical dilemma) B) who do you talk to about resigning (process question)
Thanks S1! Actually moving from industry back to consulting so there are no partners. The level after the one on vacation is csuite so seems a bit over the top. Just not sure how hard I should try to get someone to talk to in person or if an email would be fine ... :/
For a week
Mentor?
Should I try to get someone on the phone? Or would an email be sufficient? @m1 yes there is HR @m2 no mentor program
A process question. With the immigration issues, I’ve waited too long.
Sorry to hear you’re an international OP. Sucks to be us. I would say talk to the partner you have worked with most recently. Then talk to HR
Aah I thought you’re in consulting. You should do this in person ideally but if nobody is there then you have no option. At least try giving your boss a call. Even if they’re on vacation (not the maternity leave one - I think for her send her a text saying you are leaving and want to talk on the phone if possible). I just believe personal bonds in the workplace go a long way so a conversation is worth it even if they’re sitting in the Bahamas. A phone call won’t take much away from their time off if they care about you :)
Of course if none of that works then email and bounce. Whatever
Just talk to HR
OP- seems like they dont want you to leave! Haha. Good luck and Congrats!
