Just 5 weeks left of school before summer. Is anyone else having trouble keeping their students engaged?

Have you ever had to deal with a loud upstairs neighbor? I’ve only seen her once and it’s been over a year but I hear her literally every day. This girl has never taken a ballet class in her life and it sounds like she walks with bowling balls strapped to her feet. I’ll be deep in sleep and REGULARLY get woken up by what sounds like furniture being moved around. How do you approach this? It’s been very negatively affecting my sleep.

My bf & I will be moving in together for the 1st time after dating for 5 years. He hasn’t been any help through the whole searching, budgeting process & tbh I feel alone. I’m exhausted, stressed & feel like I’m drowning. I’ve voiced my concerns over being the only one involved but his excuse is that he’s stressed. Assuming a similar work schedule, does your SO really pull a 50/50 split at home of handling kids, domestic chores, etc? Doubt anyone has it down perfectly but how out of whack does the balance need to be before an issue? Has talking with your SO about unequal distribution of chores ever worked? Looking around me still seeing a lot of wife having to take the back seat career wise and driving the fort at home espec with kids

Is sending kids to private school worth it? Talking about 25k-30k per year. Living inside city where public school are average. Thinking of sending kid to international school with bilingual program (family speaks multiple languages)…. The money adds up a lot over a lifetime. Especially if we have more than 1 kid.

Ladies, I commend all of you who are pregnant and lawyering on the daily! I am 10 weeks pregnant and haven’t been working much since I left my firm in March. I tell my husband every day “IDK how anyone is pregnant and practicing law at the same time.” After a morning in court last month I was totally out of commission for the day. If you are still working as a lawyer full time and growing a human it is something to be proud of!

I use ClassDojo and a behavior clip chart to manage behavior. We have switched to personalized learning and a teacher next to me says that this is not conducive to personalized learning and good behavior is expected and shouldn’t be rewarded.
