Male here, I make most of the money & do most of the domestic chores — cook, care for the animals, etc. My woman will sweep & mop once a week or so.

We hired someone to clean early on in the marriage because it was causing too much friction. I do most of the laundry and cooking is 50-50.

In our house, it tends to fluctuate. Five years ago I would have said that my husband did most of the domestic work. Now I’d say that I do a bit more than him. We are a true team so it’s not 50/50. It’s 100/100 - everyone gives 100% effort. We try to divide very logically with little thought given to gender roles. We pick up the slack when the other is busy with work. If anything, my career trumps my husband’s career if there is a conflict because I currently make more money.
We use to divide our chores in our first year of marriage. But now it’s morphed into who can get to it first.
