Looking for a remote/hybrid/onsite (Calgary,Alberta) job for my boyfriend who got almost 5 years of experience in proposal writing, RFP, RFI and bid management for a civil engineering firm. He also got an MBA, non drinker, non smoker, clean driving abstract and very polite. He gave out tons of cv in indeed job posters for the past 5 months, ends up becoming the filler candidate, took a huge toll in his mental health and we are going through some very rough patches. First year lit associate here. I had a tough time deciding between corporate and lit and chose lit because I wanted to litigate. I am given sap as my competency, but honestly I'm not finding it interesting. I was hoping to shift to data analytics(python, sql, etl, powerbi, advanced excel... Working with these techs).
I have knowledge in python and sql. I also have some development skills, reactjs and stuff(not relevant to data analytics).
Should I increase my skill set before starting to apply to other firms?

I have a promising interview at a relatively large law firm in my area (+100 attorneys) next week. The position is for a transactional role in their real estate practice group, and they are seeking someone with at least 2 YOE. I have a bit over 7 YOE with a strong real estate/commercial lit. background. Over the past two years in my current position, I've been doing a lot more transactional work.
