Just want to share some positivity!
I’m pretty vulnerable on my LinkedIn (maybe even borderline cringe lol) but ppl watch and are often times secretly inspired. I haven’t spoken to this former colleague in years and he never engaged with me on LinkedIn… until now.
See, sharing your accomplishments and failures on LinkedIn may not be such a bad thing. You may 1. be inspiring someone or 2. realize you need a contact to help you with something.

Yeah I thought of that lol. But it’s honestly an efficient way for us to connect while eliminating the whole back and forth of asking for my email, what time works for me, etc.

Hex, I hope you can help them out.

It's crazy how many people are out of work. Every day there is another "open to work" banner popping up in my feed.

I'm not even convinced the economy is bad enough to justify the WFRs -- it just looks like a lot of copycat layoffs are being instituted to boost share prices. Of course, if enough people lose their jobs, we really will be in a recession.

I’m in your industry/space, and it’s rough out there! Whatever the intention is behind your former colleague reaching out, I agree that if what you post is genuine and authentic- you’re likely helping someone. Especially in fields like ours.

Everyone has some aspect of privilege depending upon the context. Privilege means the absence of obstacles/barriers, not necessarily the presence of perks. I woke up today tired.

My work cell was buzzing and then I remembered something.

I forgot to thank the bus driver that dropped me off a few days ago.

I got up and rushed downstairs to find the bus driver.

It was raining outside but I was already running barefoot to the bus stop.

I stood there soaked in my pajamas as the bus approached.

Then, the door opened. The driver got up and shook my hand.

I sat down and started my shift.

I’m the bus driver. Reminder to love and thank yourself.
