Listening to all of these people from other countries talk about their healthcare system has me a little jealous. Do you think we'll ever get Universal Healthcare here?

I wish, but our country is too stupid to want it. They would rather continue to pay the tremendous prices we pay for medical care to keep the insurance companies and pharmaceutical industry filthy rich!

I have friends that live in a country with universal healthcare and they hate it. It can take a year to see a specialist. Most people seeking cancer treatment don’t get treatment because are so oversaturated with patients and some that don’t even need that type of specialist. They tell me all the time that they go to other countries to see specialist and pay cash. The people that can’t afford to do that often have severe complications prior to being seen by healthcare professional professionals that they so desperately need.

I think the insurance lobbyists are too powerful at the moment. I sure do hope so though.

Hellll NO...! Look who "the powers that be" have running this country!

I just started a new job 2 months ago, benefits and PTO don’t start until 90 days in so I still have a month before I can take off any time, and today found out my company doesn’t offer paid maternity leave.
I’m really struggling handling the symptoms and maintaining my full time job. Thinking about looking for a part time job to have more time to myself through the pregnancy since I won’t be getting a paid leave anyways, but lost on where to start looking. Any recommendations?

Going through a rough patch, mental-health wise. I have always been a high performer and dont back down from challenges. But this past month something feels off in my head and I have 0% motivation for anything at the moment. Brief run down: work-stress, meeting expectations, fear of failure, imposter-syndrome, negative self-image (probably from all the time I spend on IG… might need therapy. 🥲
I don’t know what went wrong, but I don’t think I’m the only one to have felt this. Sorry for the sads!
