Mattress isn’t something you go cheap on, you spend 8 hours on it every single day for years. I’d spring for one ~$1500 personally.

Love my Casper original (hybrid). Worth the extra $ for me. If it’s above your budget, I used to have a tuft and needle I liked (exact model doesn’t exist anymore but it was their most basic version in 2013).
A lot of these mattresses accept returns or somehow guarantee their mattresses if you don’t like them. I had to return the nectar lush, it was way too soft. The process was pretty easy although they required us to use it a minimum number of days before deciding.
Tuft and needle
I spend 1400 bucks on my bed 4 years ago and I'm so happy with my decision. I got some fancy beauty rest mattress. I would recommend getting the most comfortable mattress you can find and figure out how to pay for it. Being well rested every day is so worth it
Ikea spring mattress
I just bought a cheap $450 pillow top spring mattress for my mother's house to replace a 20yr old Matress in the guest room I am staying in for a couple weeks. While it is much better than the old mattress that was here, no where near what my new Purple 3 with adjustable base is at home though for close to 5k total, but you get what you pay for.
Got a Nectar for less than $750 (discount from coupon)
They have a 365 day trial period so you can send it back and get refunded if you dont like it. I have a friend who has been buying and returning mattresses the last 3 years just going around the diff brands lol
