Can someone provide me some insights into the Senior Solutions Developers roles at Amazon AWS? What are expected TC range for remote positions with 10+ years of experience? What kind of questions should I expect during the first technical interview(90 minutes)? Specially for the coding part(20-30 mins) what level of LC questions do I need to prepare for? I already got some ideas about System Design and LP parts however there is not any info out there regarding the coding part for this position.

You will be sorry. Make sure you check who audits all the clients you’d like to pursue. Overhead will drive you nuts. Risk aversion and lack of teaming / turf wars and politics will where on you as well.
You start... Why are you considering leaving your current firm? What is more attractive about the prospective offer? What would your exit terms be?
Been there for about 7 years. It’s getting old and boring. The opportunity is to build a business and the practice. Also sometimes I feel the strat houses leave money on the table because do don’t help the client implement (its changing I know but not fast enough IMO). Also have heard the retirement benefits aren’t too bad either. Maybe a mid life crisis but I think it’s gotten me fairly curious
Be super cautious if it’s Accenture. Ask around. Everything I heard before I joined was true and I ignored the advice.
I know a couple ex McK partners who are now EY partners. They def seem happy! What I don't get is the comp. aspect bc from what I've gathered MBB makes seven figures within a few years of partnership but you won't pull that much as a B4 partner until many years later...10ish I'm guessing.
Direct entry big 4 partners can pull 7 figures right away. Everything is negotiable. I know some strategy folks happy they made the jump. Others where it didn't work out so well.
It all comes down to what you want to do. B4 has a different kind of c suite access, maybe not as good, but that's offset by a better chance to see things through to the end.
Personally I love being an equity partner at D and I would think that the prospect of building a business is very exciting. There is a lot of empowerment and people are great. Firms makes a lot of investments in key areas so it is less frustrating to get stuff done.
I'm an EY equity partner being recruited by an MBB to build out their implementation competencies. The strategy firms are definitely realizing there is lots of money being left on the table. Sounds like it's years away from being able to compete - maybe I should stay where I am?
Decided not to make the switch for a number of reasons stated above. Thanks all for the inputs!
I’m also a bit skeptical, but let’s see this through. What are the prospects of being in some sort of leadership role at your current firm?
Mix of strategy and implementation - cradle to grave where possible
That makes sense depending on years of experience. I'm with EY Strategy...bet we might be talking about the same ex-McK partner now turned EY Strategy partner. In any case, you should continue exploring! I just finished a project where phase 1 was identifying recommendations and phase 2 was implementing them.
Thanks all for the views! Gives me something to chew on!
@Strategy&: Thanks for your views. Clearly things to be mindful of. Curious on views of people from others who either made a similar move or were part of the strategy firms that were acquired ? It sounds like it isn’t a smooth integration and clearly there are issues to be ironed out
@P1: There could be a leadership role two years down the line but that’s more administrative as opposed to really being able to build a business - maybe I am drinking the cool aid but it sounded like they are keen to build the business and willing to invest and throw the resources needed
What kind of work would you be doing if you would come over?
Know ppl who have jumped. Mixed bag. More resources in some areas. More red tape in others. Depending on place can be hard to break into culture. But the headhunters are def calling
I knew ex mbb ppedds, end of the days people have territory. So the middle of the pack ppedds kinda do well going to big 4.
But hey, only those that did well, will talk about it.
