They can be flexible if you have only 2 years. Talk to the recruiter
Your PD will make the decision. Firm is very supportive about it . If anything happens they will transfer you to Canada or somewhere else for a year and bring you back. You should not worry about this at all
13 months is the policy.
Is this the new timeline as compared to the previous 18 months?
When I got the offer, they mentioned they are trying to reduce the timeline but not sure when or if it will happen.
I interviewed with McK last year when I was in a similar position and they were hell bent on waiting 18 months. I told them I could move to another country where I have authorization, go on leave for a couple months waiting for my wife's GC process to get done and then rejoin, or they could start my process sooner. They didn't want to explore any of those options and the process ended.
This was when they were paying double referral bonuses to their employees so they really needed people.
This was after the recruiter interview phase itself. I didn't want to go through the process until I had a clear direction on the visa issue.
I turned down their offer. They offered within 13 months but that would leave a gap in my current visa and did not want to risk going back to home country.
