What do u mean all things equal? If you’re referring to costs, LA. The environment there makes it easier to sustain a healthier lifestyle in my experience visiting…outdoor gyms, plenty of places for hikes/running, lots of health stores. Plus people are more easy going than MIA. I’m also single and I feel like I enjoy LA dating scene better than MIA

OP I'd imagine LA is better and has way more opportunities unless you're at a Miami based big firm
Folks are rightfully focusing on the city aspects but there’s a huge difference between the firms in each, particularly since LA has far more that pay market. Also are certain practice groups that will only exist in one or the either depending on what you want to do.

LA - way more opportunity in law, better weather, better lifestyle, better reproductive rights.
If COL/bar admission/family ties aren’t factors, there’s no reason to choose Miami.

No state income taxes, politics are way better in MIA, little to no homeless people, Latin American people, all the baddies. Come on. Coladas for lunch.

MIA
I would go in the direction of your political views.

No state income tax in MIA
Grew up around MIA that heat is unbearable for about 7 months out of the year. COL is up in Miami and salaries arnt as high.

From someone that is from Miami, I am currently in the process to move to San Diego. Overall CA is better for comp and WLB. Only thing that is worse is state taxes in CA.
