Advice needed - boyfriend has almost 3.5 years of finance experience at a bank. Interviewed for PwC valuation senior associate and now recruiter says they want to hire him at “experienced associate” because he has no valuation experience. Is this too big of a step backwards in career? Should he push back and see if it gets him anywhere? If he does accept Associate, is it reasonable to ask for written, definitive timeline (1 year?) for promo to Senior upon meeting standards? Help!

Buy a butt pillow and a back support pillow. That’s literally all you need. and make sure you are sitting with proper posture.
Are you sure it’s from the chair ? May be from all the work you’re doing by caring the team.

You might try getting a little back pillow or something to push your lower back forward and keep it in alignment. Might not need a new chair if that works
Branch Furniture! My back used to hurt every day and I got the Elevate chair almost a year ago and honestly can’t remember the last time my back hurt.
I went with the elevate because it wasn’t that much more expensive and seemed like it had more features? I can’t really remember why but I love it!

I have a stand up desk and that alleviated my chronic back and shoulder pain.
I have a standup desk. Realistically though I sit more than I stand. If I stand, I find myself just walking away from my laptop 😂
I love my Steelcase Gesture. It wasn't cheap, but it was worth every penny. Even on my longest days, I'm not in pain.
100% Gesture but it’s expensive. I opted for the Amia and I absolutely love it!
I bought a secret lab Titan. You can get them the right size for you (they have different models) and they can be adjusted fully for your desk size/arm length/leg length etc. $400 isn’t cheap, but like D1 and D2 said above I’ve had no pain at all since buying, even after 11+ hour days. Good luck in chair hunting!
Good to now - I was eyeing it for my Husband - similar build as you and just had the concern on the base. Sounds like it may be a great fit

The Lazy Boy office chair at Costco is pretty legit
For a temporary/economical solution before investing in a new chair - consider getting the smallest sized Chirp wheel, and stick it along your middle back, between your back and the back of the chair (like in the picture). It helps improve posture (and back pain) and you can roll on it during breaks!
