So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

When you leave, please just say where it was and who your boss was, so I can avoid working there or hiring them in the future.
Will do
Dumb Q- but wouldn’t that be better? Like wouldn’t you then be able to get severance and stuff?
😂 not FL
Word got out before it went too far and it was stopped. And no, it’s not illegal in my state.
This will make for amazing dinner party storytelling for years to come.
Agreed
That’s awful. Out of curiosity, how was he/she stopped? Is it illegal in your state? I know a few people this has happened to in Texas.
Petty. Sorry to hear that.
My boss convinced me to stay after I resigned (it was over a disagreement on how to finish the edit on a campaign). We did it my way, and I went back to work, thinking things were back to normal. A month later, after the project was out the door, he fired me.
Not surprised. I’ve seen it happen before. Never waffle on resignation or even bringing in a counter offer. Once they know one foot is out the door, they have no problems helping the other foot out.
