After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

Yep. We'll be open for business as usual on both the Eve's. It is silly. I'd be fine with no other days off but for crying out loud just give us the 24th, 25th, 31st, and 1st. It isn't hard despite what VP1 says.

Right?! It’s not a lot to ask for and not everyone can take the time off!
My company clearly posts at the beginning of each year what the company holiday’s are. They have never “surprised” us at the en of the year with extra days off. They give us the holiday’s well in advance if we want more time off we have to save our PTO. I have never worked at a company that tells you your days off just before the holiday, nor one that has given us surprise time off that wasn’t announced.
I'm not thankfully. Not because my company is giving us any more time off, but because I saved my PTO specifically so I wouldn't have to work during the weeks of Christmas and New Year's. I just need to power through for a bit longer and then I'll finally be able to relax.
Our company Holiday Calendar is posted the middle of December for the next year. We get the Friday before Memorial day to make a 4 day weekend along with December 24th and 25th. BUT we gave up two other minor Holidays to make this happen. If you want more use PTO.
It’s rare to get more than those two days in many jobs. You have PTO you can take whenever you want.
It had to have been explained as part of the hiring process. You knowingly went to work at this job knowing that you only got December 25th. Not the 24th and 25th. Pick your poison. Save a PTO day for the 24th like a lot of us do. New vacation habit of 4 day weekends instead of a full week.
We are in the same boat as well. If you want any other days off, you have to use your PTO. Seems like they are doing less and less for their employees these days.

It’s so frustrating!
Same. I work for a small credit union and even tho we will have zero (0) clients to work on, we still show up.

What exactly do they expect you to be working on when there aren’t any clients?

Yep, my company does the same. I’m planning to take four extra PTO days so I can be off from the 25th through after the New Year.

That’s rough but I suppose you’ve got to do it if you want a good break over the festive period
At least you HAVE a job.
