Tata Consultancy I am a manager in Capgemini... have an offer frm TCS. the designation being offered is Assistant Consultant.. 9.8 years experience( 5 yrs with Cap) Even though I am getting a package of 25Lakhs.. it seems like a demotion in designation.. Cg has offered to match upto 23.5 lakhs.. Is it worth moving to TCS on this grade? My primary reason for moving out of Cg is i m bored of beauocracy and WLB at current project. Is it a good idea to still switch with the counter offer from Cg Capgemini Tata Consu
I’ve been with PwC almost for a year now in the valuations group and I don’t see myself doing this long term. 90% I’m helping Audit Teams understand valuations and 10% I’m doing PPAs. I always wanted to go into more a consulting role (ops/strategy role). I also like modeling, but the current modeling I’m doing is more accounting focused rather than finding business value from synergy creation. Ideally I’d like to stick with PwC but I’d switch too. Thoughts where I should apply too?

Comms pros are like the cobbler’s children. Great at helping those we work with to develop a positioning/visibility plan, but hopeless at helping ourselves on this front. It’s important and you should start now as it’s a journey.
My advice is to start positioning yourself as the DEI expert you want to be:
- tidy up your LinkedIn profile to reflect your comms and DEI expertise ( your shopfront);
- connect with/follow experts in your field/s and see what they talk about/share;
- start sharing content on 2 or 3 topics you care about (DEI will be one, obvs);
- engage in interesting content by adding your perspective;
- seek out opportunities to network at relevant events, online and in real life.
You’ll be surprised at how your network of like minded folks will grow once you start to put yourself out there,connect and share what you know.
When you do this over time, it will lead to new and exciting opportunities as you gain credibility as an expert in your chosen field. Good luck!
