My last drink was me polishing off an expensive bottle of champagne on New Years. Tux on. In bed. It was a fitting farewell to booze. I’m thinking this could be a whole new thing for me. I’m certainly better off without it. I’m a bit worried about things opening up again. Parties. Travel. The roaring 20s. Got to keep up with the meditations and have plenty of proxies on hand.

Has anyone done the Lionrock Recovery Program? I just enrolled and wondered if anyone has done it. I was stunned that my insurance basically covers all the costs.

Starting on my journey to sobriety today from sex addiction. I’ve been clean from alcohol for several years but my therapist has pushed me to start attending AA meetings in addition to SAA meetings. I know I can’t overcome this alone.

In early recovery and have to go away for conferences but don’t want to put myself in such a triggering environment. Should I go to support my career or pull out to not put myself in that situation? Anyone deal with the same and how did you do it?

Walked back from the liquor store between calls in tears because I can’t control myself anymore. Am doing an intake meeting with a Intensive Out Patient care provider next week. Will be doing therapy from 5:30p-8:30p like three times a week for two weeks. How do I tell my team that I’ll have hard stops for these sessions? I’m on my first work trip since getting sober. I was scared that this would be one long trigger and I’d spend the whole trip either on the phone with my sober friends or sneaking drinks at the hotel bar.

But I’m here, and I’m fine. I found out one of my colleagues got sober too and it’s so much easier with them here. I guess Bill W was onto something.

I think this whole quarantine thing has helped me... I used to drink like a fish on Thursday on the plane rides home and on the road.. it was all free booze

Sibling is 52 days sober from heroin/cocaine, but I just found a syringe and alcohol wipes under their pillow.

They have been passing observed urine tests, how is it possible that they’re using? Any ideas?

I recently tried quitting everything last Sunday, with drew all last week and then relapsed Friday, Saturday and Sunday worst withdrawals I ever had (cold sweats, shaking, wasn’t sure I would survive). I’m through the worst of it now but any advice? Thought about rehab but can’t stop work. This is probably my 9th time trying to go sober during the pandemic. I live alone so the isolation with the pandemic has extremely escalated my usage to the point of about a bottle of a day on weekdays
