Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Maybe. Maybe not. No use in dwelling upon it, because you don’t want this to carryover into future interviews if you begin stressing on it too much. Relax, be yourself and know that you will land an opportunity -regardless of whether you seem nervous or not - at the right company that values what you bring to the table and sees potential despite any nerves. Everyone gets nervous, you are perfectly ok.
Thank you! I was very surprised the hiring manager didn’t want to talk to me after speaking with HR, and is probably best I find someone who does value my overall fit regardless of a little nerves
Agree with these comments. If you have interviewed there many times, clearly they see something in you and if they truly thought you were not a good communicator they likely wouldn’t have kept bringing you in! You can always follow up with HR/the recruiter and say “thanks so much - can you give any insight or feedback as to how I could improve my interview skills or anything else you may be looking for in candidates at your company? I am always looking to grow myself.”
… huh? What exactly do you mean by “choked”? What happened?
Thank you! I thought I did great, we had a great conversation otherwise. I’ll try to keep my head up
I bombed an interview years ago in much worse fashion than you. Weighed on me for a couple of weeks and I was hard on myself about it. Was able to freelance there about a year later and was so glad I didn’t end up getting the job in the first place.
Odds are you’ll look back on it later and laugh about it. Keep on keeping on.
Right, I’m starting to find some positives in it and am learning from it. The universe will have other plans. Thank you!
I had several rounds of interviews with an agency and was certain I’d get the offer only for them to tell me they didn’t feel that I was the “right fit”.
I was super in my head about it afterward. Replaying what I said etc, etc…
They called 2 weeks later and offered the job😂 But I had already accepted another offer at that point.
Anyway, long story short is don’t read into stuff too much! There’s a good chance they didn’t think twice about you briefly stumbling during an interview. Keep your head up! You can do it!!!
