Hello!! I was able to secure a speaker in February who specializes in Menopause and HRT! I know it’s far in the future but I told her I’d work with what is best for her schedule. I don’t know any nutritionists but will put out some feelers to see if we can secure a speaker in January. I wish you all a Happy Holidays and thank you for taking this journey with me!!

No worries!! I think it’ll be great to ask a Doctor questions via live session. Who knows maybe we can get others as well in the future!!

This is great! I am “peri-menopause” per my dr and considering a hysterectomy (get rid of the problem, right?!) but if I can solve some issues without surgery - I’d prefer that (although 6-8weeks off sounds kinda nice.)

I had a hysterectomy 3 years ago. I only needed 3 weeks off and worked remotely for the last 3 weeks. I think I was most uncomfortable for the first week but just when I was setting down the hot flashes started. I wish you much luck with whatever you decide!

I think living a frugal life and aiming to retire early makes a lot of sense.

Recently, some of my family members are diagnosed with a rare diseases. When you look at the statistics, these are so many of these ‘rare’ conditions and cumulatively they are not rare.

These family members conditions made me reevaluate how I want to spend my life. I am 35 this year and I can’t decide if I should take great vacations with my kids or keep living a frugal life. Do you have the same dilemma?

Going back to in-person learning has been quite a challenge. We have 4 in-person and 8 virtual. The 4 in-person have done as well as to be expected, however their behaviors have been less than desired. One is being considered for going back to virtual due to behaviors. It's next to impossible to expect them to keep masks on and when they do, they're usually nasty or wet. I have PPEs but things do happen in the spur of the moment and it's hard to stop and put on gloves and such.

Hello ladies!! Sorry for lack of engagement as I’ve been spending most of my time leading the WiT bowl. I wanted to let you know we are still on track for a speaker on February 25th. She is a certified menopause practitioner and OB/GYN. She will be answering questions live related to all topics concerning menopause and HRT. Please attend if possible!! When the event is scheduled I will post a link so you can add it to your calendars.

Hi ladies, I'm in my mid 40s and I think I'm entering peri. I currently have a Mirena but I should replace it again soon, but one more will put me into my 50s(!!) and I was wondering if anyone here knows that they're in peri or menopause without having periods. Is there blood work or something to check? I definitely do not want to have another child accidentally. I've got 5 more years until my youngest is in college and don't want to start over again.

Good Morning All!
I’ve been having some mental issues lately and have no idea if it’s due to my HRT.
If I take .75 of estradiol I still have hot flashes. If I take 1.0 I feel either numb or depressed constantly.
I feel like I’m bearing this battle alone as my Physician’s seem like experimenting with dosing is my only option.
I’ve also consistently done intermittent fasting for two weeks, exercise 5x per week, and am eating better all to lose a whopping .5 lbs. SMH

Thank you for starting this bowl! I just turned 50. I had my one and only child at 41 and went straight into menopause. My symptoms were perhaps confused with postbpatrum and nursing hormone symptoms but bow my hair is dry and frizzy yet somehow also oily and my skin lacks luster and I gain weight so easily. Working from home for eight months has definitely hanged my body shape and not for the better!

I’m curious how long people were in the peri menopause phase? I’ve read it’s an average of 4 years but I’m curious what people’s experiences are. I believe I am late stage peri menopausal and my periods have been very irregular for the past 9 months ranging 13-60 days between periods. If anyone has any studies you could point me to, I’d love to see those as well! I’m 40 and my mom entered menopause at 41.

I figure if anyone can understand this, it’s you all. I feel like I’m losing my damn mind. I have always loved communications, and I’m really good at it. But lately I’m so tired of politics and toxicity that I it’s sent me into a depression tailspin, on top of a pretty severe mid-life crisis. Two and a half weeks ago, I quit my job with nothing lined up. Not the smartest thing I’ve ever done, but I kind of feel like self-preservation was at work here. I want to do work that makes a difference. ☹️
