Just got an offer at LinkedIn and am thinking about how to negotiate the offer. Coming from 3+ years consulting experience:
The role is associate level in business productivity - business transformation
Base: 124k
Bonus: 10%
RSU: 100k (my understanding is over 4yrs, but not expressly stated by the recruiter)
Currently my base is higher but no RSU, so having trouble comparing
For those of you who build websites, how do you display your built sites on your portfolio site? Do you have a page where you mock up the site or do you do a direct link? I currently have both. I’m just trying to figure out the best way for me. Here is my site for reference. The links for the sites are in the menu and below in the gallery. Sarahbellestudios.com

You shouldn’t be ok with pronouns because it makes people more comfortable. These people are prioritizing their comfort over yours and twisting you arm to accept their ideology. You’re the one uttering those words you get to decide what makes you comfortable. If they don’t like it then they can talk to a mirror so that they can hear whatever they want to hear.

Manager 1, you represent modern Republican ideology. Absolutely nothing was taken away from you, but you are downright angry at the thought that other people might feel comfortable.
You’re like all those people protesting the veggie option at Cracker Barrel
It’s becoming more standard to use two, e.g. “he/him” or “she/they”. Still redundant in some cases, but I think the point is to keep the idea of pronounS plural and imply that that gender applies to all?

I don't think efficiency is the issue here...
Some people do have PGPs like she / they to indicate either is fine. Some folx also say "he series" instead of he/him/his. #BigWoke
Pls convince me I’m wrong👍
Come at me but this is so dumb. I’m even okay with people identifying as the wrong yes wrong pronouns (male with she/her pronouns) as long as it is consistent but that’s about it.
anything more with these ze/xe wishy washy terms are delusional. Like what’s next identifying as zebra/zebrathumb/dragonbreath? Utterly and unnecessarily confusing especially in the workforce
Okay that’s actually pretty funny.
I’ll officially allow pronouns associated to he, she AND bun and bunself

Wtf is happening in this thread?

Listing out three is usually not necessary, though I suppose it could be helpful if you're using something other than he, she, or they

Demi Lovato decided to go back to using she and they
I just wanted to apologize on behalf of Gen Z to the other generations about this nonsense pronoun delusion. But Gen Z still the greatest never forget
Exactly EY2. Absolute and utter factuals. Listen up Deloittussy
This is better than my elementary English class
I would add a fourth
He/him/his/Dear Sir
She/her/hers Dear Madam
They, them, theirs, Dear
Dear Sidam
Rising Star
Why 3? They are subject, object, and possessive pronouns
Rising Star
But why all 3? If you have one, you have the other two.

I don’t understand how people identify as “they/them”…. Sounds like they are identifying themself as multiple people??
Pro
Yeah they is used for singular in very specific situations. It’s not normal or correct however to use it to refer to an individual when you know who that individual is, that’s the difference. It’s very clear but I get that hiding this fact is the only way you can justify this stupidity.
Damn a lot of progressives in this thread

...welcome to fishbowl 🤷

You tell us. You’re the one doing it. Maybe there are just cases where it makes more sense?
Rising Star
Sorry D2, you lose this thread.
“They” in this case was to refer to the three words in the list. There is absolutely no statement inherent in that sentence other than “they” is plural.
Try it with Deloitte. Are you just planning to apply? Good luck then.
Rising Star
No thank you.
Is it a just and authorized cause to fire someone? That seems to be a shallow ground for a severe sanction. I cannot fathom how was it such a big deal.
Not fired. Fired up. 😂
They made up a whole new set, so there'd be no way you knew to say "xirs" as the possessive form.
Do we really need yet another pronouns thread
