PwC Advisory, any idea what the highest base salary is for an experienced senior in Chicago? I want to confirm if I’m being made a fool again by Big 4.

You can’t meaningfully compare salaries for “advisory” as a single service line

No risk senior in Chicago is making anywhere near 140, few managers are at that level. Few if any seniors are breaking 100.

like

140k

like

That’s the highest. It could range anything btw 90-140

like

This^. Depends on the type of advisory. Risk or the actual consulting side?

like

Thanks! I’m being offered way less than that.

Thank you! I need to up my negotiation game.

Risk

It also depends on if you have an advanced degree. I make 140 in NY, but I'm a lawyer.

Corporate / M&A folks making moves over the last few months: Got an offer from a top 50 lockstep AmLaw100 firm. 4th year. Not NYC but in a market that was recently bumped up to the previous Cravath scale market. Base is obviously set. What should I expect / negotiate for signing bonus, year-end bonus eligibility, special bonus eligibility, etc.? Any other negotiation considerations? I would say leverage is on my side considerably.

Hi All,
I am feeling lost in job. So I’ve applied for Accounts payable they offered 40k. I said why not to gain some experience. I didn’t even bother negotiating which I regret.
Fast forward I noticed that I was eventually handed everyone’s workload (AR & imports & duty and check coworker work + AP) Spoke to them about pay increase based on workload. So they raised it to 55k.. but I still feel underpaid based on the amt of work I do. I don’t know what my title or what to put on resume..

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
