Recently got our total rewards statement at KPMG. Just wondering, does the pension only apply if you make partner? They really didn’t give us much information around it. Thanks for the help in advance

I sure hope that the partner pension is better than that. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice benefit, but from what I hear the partner pension is much better,

No, it kicks in whenever you vest (but as above said, it gets much better as partner)

Op this pension is for everyone who works at KPMG. The directors and partners have another pension which is way better than this one. In order for us to vest in pension, we have to work for 3 pension years at KPMG. The pension year runs from May to April.

Recruiter reached out for a 6 month W2 contract-to-hire role. He said "Rate would be $80/hr W2 which includes paid holidays, PTO, and medical." Does that mean I would get $80/hr + benefits? Or does it mean the $80/hr rate includes the value of those benefits, and therefore the base compensation for this role is something like $65-70/hr? My first time coming cross this phrasing, would appreciate any input. He also said they could do 1099/Corp2Corp "if I'm set up for it." Any benefits over W2?

I just left BigLaw as a mid-level for a generalist in-house role. It took me over a year of searching because I was a litigator in a niche practice, so most companies didn’t want me. My focus in the new role is developing general skills - contracts, transactions, partnerships, IP, etc. - but I don’t want to stay at this company for long, because the pay is subpar for an in-house role at my seniority. What’s the minimum amount of time I can stay before reasonably applying to other in-house roles?

Interviewing tomorrow and the company has communicated their intention to make an offer by the end of next week. 1) would you take this offer so close to busy season; 2) is the quick hiring decision a red flag? Enough to steer clear of position? It’s a promotion to manager for me and - little over 25% base pay increase.
