Recently had to take mental health leave due to terrible manager expecting me to work overtime, blaming me for her mistakes, gaslighting me by offering to help and then not helping and sending me aggressive emails that I’m not communicating/perf. I work in sales and mind you our team has been understaffed for about a year now so I have been taking almost more than double my workload. Her micromanaging style has got the first time ever caused me to have stress, anxiety, and severe panic attacks.

Why are town Hall meetings so impersonal? They are all about awards / the number of people hired. I know FCB health is large, but we never hear from people who aren’t Executives. Last town hall, when discussing inclusion efforts, there were no people of color represented and one of the 4 pillars of diversity was centered around our “reputation as an organization” (that really rubbed me the wrong way). At my last agency those conversations were always led by people of color from every level.

What’s the deal with these start-ups not hiring people with actual insurance experience?

One of my junior associates recently resigned and I've been trying to make an exit myself for several months now. The job market has been really competitive but I am getting closer to getting a new job and moving on. The firm culture isn't great and work-life balance is non existent. My physical and mental health have been suffering, so I really don't think I could stay. How did you avoid the guilt trips from Partners/Senior staff trying to get you to stay?

I manage 2 physician practices and one is extremely toxic. To the point the dr sides with staff even when I am trying to make corrective actions when patient care is in jeopardy. My leadership is aware and knows I am keeping my distance from them. Just doing the necessary work to keep them producing. How do you handle this?
