I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

Has anyone taken part of the education reimbursement program? I’ve been here for 4 years and I’m thinking of obtaining my Master’s in Organizational Leadership, but I feel like with this merger, if I started the program and then there are layoffs or too many new hires, or work just becomes overwhelming, I wouldn’t be able to complete my program. Hey everyone! At what stage do you think it would be appropriate to share that I am currently on an H-1B work visa? I got reached out by the CEO regarding an opportunity they are recruiting for. I applied and have made it to the final round of interviews that’s this week. In the application they didn’t ask about sponsorship or anything, and I didn’t want to automatically disqualify myself by telling them before giving my final round presentation. My final interview is Tuesday.

Okay, it’s time to stop putting on a face about this. I love my boyfriend so much, but covid is ruining us. We are both still WFH and argue every few days about the dumbest stuff. My and his mental health are both diminishing and it feels like an impossible trench to dig out of. My stomach hurts every time we fight and I (independent of him) feel so stuck in this horrible global crisis.
