Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

Unfortunately, corporations are the ones with money. And they are run by people with money. It's not about people versus organizations, it's about those with money and those without.
In 2010 the Supreme Court granted Corporations these rights
You’re not wrong, there’s something deeply broken in a system where profits speak louder than people. I’ve felt that exploitation firsthand and it’s dehumanizing. I used to work for a company that had “family” plastered on every wall… then laid off half the team over Zoom without a second thought.

You see the irony here, yeah?

Pointing out systemic corruption isn’t ‘whining’ it’s refusing to normalize it. If your takeaway from this is tone instead of substance, you might be proving my point.
Facebook is trash, people with no lives and addicted to attention use it.
Everyone should get off social media and actually be social and go outside for a change.
People have become so isolated.
I agree with part of your comment.
People need to become more aware and more social.
Uhm.

Ah yes, the classic ‘but what about Venezuela’ deflection because pointing to struggling nations somehow justifies billion dollar corporations robbing Americans blind while our tax dollars fund their bailouts. Nobody here is campaigning for Mao, champ. We’re talking about a country where people work 2–3 jobs and still can’t afford rent while CEOs make billions off their backs. If ‘reform’ worked, we wouldn’t be having this conversation in 2025.
Everyone who opposes what you’ve said is a silly normie who doesn’t realise they’re just another slave for the big corporations.

the bootlickers about to be real mad at this lmao
Agreed. The first place to start is requiring salary transparency. Why are we allowing potential employers to do extensive background checks without first discussing the remuneration?
Sure, I’ll pray on it, right after the people hoarding wealth in God’s name pay taxes like the rest of us.
Prayer isn’t a substitute for policy. It doesn’t break up monopolies, raise wages, or stop corporations from exploiting workers. We don’t need divine intervention, we need accountability.
Because the last time I checked, faith without works is dead and telling people to “pray about it” while systems chew them up is about as useful as a tithe receipt during a layoff.
Nailed it!!!

Their called unions.
Hahahah I didn’t catch that a VP who came for my post like they did something doesn’t know the correct “they’re” to use.
The amount of people who aren't aware of Citizens United and its impact is, honestly, surprising.
Wait is that what's happening, people literally don't know about the decision? Ok then: "Limiting independent expenditures on political campaigns by groups such as corporations, labor unions, or other collective entities violates the First Amendment because limitations constitute a prior restraint on speech." is referred to by Justia as the primary holding for Citizens United v FEC (https://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/558/310/) For those shouting down OP, it's not hyperbole to say it lifted expenditure restrictions on corporations, that was literally the core issue.
This comment is spot on. That IS the main problem in our society.
Individuals can be held criminally liable. Corporations cant. They are literally above the law, as fines are just considered additional costs of business that are passed along.
Romney said it best
Ah yes, “just find a way out” because navigating systemic exploitation is apparently as simple as losing your keys.
Wages haven’t kept up with productivity since the ’70s, most people live paycheck to paycheck, and companies are posting record profits while laying off employees mid-shift via email. But sure… just manifest your way out of it, right?
That kind of response doesn’t come from insight, it comes from comfort. You’re not offering a solution. You’re just revealing how little you understand the problem.
Totally agree with you!
Pray about it ✝️
Oh don’t worry, I caught the typo. Glassdoor doesn’t allow for editing once you hit reply. But it’s telling that instead of addressing the message, you latched onto a spelling error, like Jesus himself handed you a red pen and told you to miss the entire point.
You knew exactly what “geed” meant. But when conviction makes you uncomfortable, mockery is a convenient escape. Classic move.
And while you’re tossing around Bible emojis like holy punctuation, maybe pray for some discernment, and a refresher on workplace conduct. Because forcing your personal brand of performative religion on others? Yeah, that’s not protected under “faith” it’s just obnoxious.
Corporate HR departments don’t look kindly on unsolicited sermons. Especially from self-appointed greedy prophets who mistake typos for moral high ground.

Try Sweden, seriously we live a capitalist system of corporations and many inept, corrupt and criminal politicians and corporations are by definition not democracies, but dictatorships ! Good Luck trying to Change the way Corporations or our government functions !

Thank you.
Sounds like we need to seize the means of production.
I’m just raising the point that our current system often prioritizes profits over people.
When workers ask for fair treatment, accountability, or basic protections, it shouldn’t be seen as extreme. That’s not radical, it’s reasonable.
If the idea that people deserve better keeps getting labeled as “too much,” maybe it’s time we reevaluate what we’ve normalized.
Then gain 51% ownership. People own companies. I'm a huge investor. Take your Marxism somewhere else.

😂 Exactly! Thank you for saying that!! You’re right. Most of us are just regular people trying to make a living, not billionaires pulling political strings. It’s good to know there are others here who see through the noise and get where we’re coming from. Appreciate you being part of the sane side of this conversation. 🙌
