What's the best form of compensation to ask for and why?

My employers' CEO just announced that they just received $7 million from investors. He wants to use that money to offer incentives to employees that hussle and drive more revenue for the company. We're not sure what those incentives look like yet, but here are some post-announcement rumors from my co-workers:

Cash bonuses, raises, profit-sharing, company equity, 401k match, etc.

Starting a new job next month, and considering taking two days off for kids’ spring break next month. Not sure whether it’s appropriate to request time off for a new job (I would’ve preferred not to take any time off for first three months). I may just be able to just ask for a single Friday off (so 1 day rather than 2 days).

Any thoughts on whether I should proceed with the request? I just came from big law and want to make sure I’m not making a bad impression on my colleagues.

So my work has unlimited PTO -global company. I'm based in uk and line manager is in USA. he said I'm taking to much time off and has brought it up with upper management. I’m getting really discouraged by the process of finding a daycare. Currently 32w pregnant and it’s crazy to me that literally no daycare I’ve spoken to can speak to availabilities in the Spring. It’s nothing but waitlists. Should I have started looking sooner? Starting to get worried that my maternity leave will and and we will still have zero plan on how to get childcare.

I currently work in Healthcare as a respiratory therapist for 10 years. I have been at my job, currently, for a little over 5 years. Alongside my bachelors degree I also have a masters degree in healthcare administration. Although, I am happy with my current position as a respiratory therapist, there seems to be not a lot career growth with where the department I currently work in within my healthcare system. One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m currently working for a small technical consulting start-up firm. I make good money, have great benefits, and they seem very happy with the work I’m doing, so I know I could move up quickly. However, tech consulting is definitely not my dream job. I want to get into data analytics, and I have an offer from a big company to do just that. I’ve only been at my current company for about 8 months, but I don’t ever see myself loving this job. How do I know when it’s time to make a change?

Investing: UK based couple, post-tax monthly income £5.5k, 8month emergency pot set, no debt, £10k in other savings, no children or plan to have, early 30s. We set aside £2-£2.5k per month for house deposit and plan to buy a house in the next 3 years. Should we look at investing small amounts per month (£300) or save everything for a house?
