Small independent RIA looking for a 401k plan to offer clients when it's the right fit. Looking for few fees, easy to use, easy for me to integrate with. Custody at td.

We custody at TD as well.
Solo 401k - all in house
Small plans - Simple IRA also in house
Mid sized 401k - Transamerica is the platform we prefer to work on. Open selection of funds when you design the plan, competitive fee structure, and Schwab PCRA capability. They’re not the easiest to work with in our experience, a little apathetic, communication isn’t always there, sometimes it seems like they don’t care as much as you’d want them to. That being said their platform is top notch and it’s been worth dealing with the headaches so far.
We don’t have any ‘large’ plans so I won’t speculate on that.

Thanks for that. I haven't had cause to recommend a 401k yet, a handful of simple ira's. I want to have something in my toolbox when the chance comes up. So TD has a group 401k option that call all be done on their platform? I've not stumbled on that yet. Again, thanks for the help.

They can do solo and group (I believe). We keep solos and run them like advisory. Small employers we do Simples w a third party doing the admin work (automating systematics, changing contribution amounts, etc) because that will eat up their profitability FAST, and then TA for 401k for same reason as simples.

What 3rd party do you use? None of my simple plans have more than 5 employees so I can handle it now. But I'd I got a big one I might not want to.

Pretty sure the saga of the slave driven company has come to an end I’m the only HR person at this company. Friday I had full admin rights, and went to check email Saturday; account locked. Payroll/HRIS locked out. PEO service says no pending termination is on my file. Went to the office today to get my things just in case. Located in CA. Was about to report numerous violations too. All because I couldn’t solve 8 months of payroll issues in a day. 🫠 Good riddance, I’m getting a lawyer.

What is considered a “large” caseload in employment litigation? I work at a large L&E boutique law firm and handling about 14-15 active litigation cases in state/federal court or arbitration. Some of these matters are multi-plaintiff and multi-defendant cases, but none are class actions. This does not include any matters I am handling in the charge stage or in pre-litigation. Not sure if that’s a typical caseload or not?
