I joined in Accenture as level 8. Prior to joining, I was apporached by a project, and they seemed to not convince with my lack of knowledge about the role hence they dropped me even after contacting couple of times. Now I have got call from another one and they also seem to be not fully sure because my last role was very different. My question is how difficult is it to get a project in Accenture? Will this interviews continue? Also, what are the chances of me getting a suitable role?

It certainly depends on the firm for each but not taking that into consideration I would say that it depends on how much of a stretch the manger role is for you. It is better to be a really great/over qualified new senior than an average new manager.
Better to exceed expectations than miss 'em.
Titles don't mean much. Go with the $$. Unless the way you make that big bump is questionable. E.g. You need high billable hours to make the $. Might not be guaranteed that big bump if you sit on the bench.
I would say be careful, cuz usually if they are paying u a big bunp to hire u, means there arent going to be much in terms of raises for next few years
Personally, I enjoy learning and professional growth. As a senior consultant in a small company you'll get to be on the ground floor creating and building something that people will be using. It can only go up from there as far as salary and title. If there's room to grow and learning opportunities in the manager position that's a quicker route to the top. It depends on what you want out of it long term and what is more important.
Which would you be happier doing?
Promoted to manager, but I like that second opportunity gets me to a manager position. They pay is the same... how do I choose?
They're both in the same area I'm in right now and both firms have good teams that I'd be happy in. They pay the same money which is making this decision difficult.
P1: That is a great point!
Thank you all for the responses. I have one more concern. So Company 1 is trying to build out a new competency and offered me a great salary bump as a senior consultant. Company 2 has a very big team with my competency and is offering me a Manager position with the same salary as Company 1. Joining Company 1 will keep me in a smaller team with more exposure and I'll be there when the team is being built from the ground up. Joining Company 2 will give me the title and I'll get to work with a team that has been doing this for a while so I'll have a good learning experience. Any advice is welcome!
