So, I just got accepted for a job. Did the interview process, online and in person. Everything went so well, I sort of knew I was going to get it. Offered me the job the next day, I confirmed and they replied telling me my start date.
Fast forward a month and I’m meant to start on Monday but I haven’t heard from them in a month. No replies to my emails, what do I do?!

What i need to prepare to get into one of these top companies. Can someone elaborate the required skillset and how many interviews and what kind of interviews and so on.

Went through multi-day loop for L5 SA and felt confident in my interactions. Presentation went well with no lack of answers for follow up questions. Just found out 6 days later I will not be receiving an offer, and it is policy to not provide feedback of gaps or reasons behind no offer. Also found out they ask you not to reapply for 1 to 2 years for same role. Would anyone recommend an alternate path for feedback on interview (outside of recruiter) and is the 1-2 year policy true?

So I have a felony. I interviewed with a recruiter today who was super cheerful and nice. Once I disclosed my felony, which she already knew about since a friend referred me to her, she immediately stopped the interview and said she couldn’t in good faith move forward on my application given the nature of my offense. I explained that I had done my time, paid my fines and restitution and had the experience to become a great asset to the organization. -she suggested I look into bartending.

Is Director level within A&M equivalent to SM1/2 at Big4? Also, I have been told by A&M recruiter that I need to meet 2 more MDs as part of the interview process and I have already met 3 Senior Directors. Any idea what can I expect in my final two interviews and will there be any more rounds?

Beginning to consider going in house (4th, corp) - I really haven’t thought about what I want, partly because I’m not sure what’s out there/attainable. Is it a bad idea to start by applying to a couple positions that interest me and seeing where that gets me? Does Globant terminates the employment of certain trainees after their probation(3 Months) based on their performance in the training period? Some of the fresher trainees were laid off this morning without giving a notice or reason.

We were told that the probation period is a training period & not an elimination one. It was shocking as a few of those trainees were actually good.

There is this big bank where I'd love to work at, and after several interviews for various positions they end up promoting someone from within, even thou I understand it and think it’s good they promote their people, it left me feeling like I'm just being used to comply with the process.

Do you keep interviewing after offer signed and background check cleared?

Should I decline the offer and ask to be considered for a higher role that better fits my qualifications? The offer I had was with a great bank but I'm overqualified for that. Its been hard to find a job because I dont have prior experiences.

I have been in client facing wealth management as an advisor for 10 years. I haven’t built a book of business because I’ve worked for mostly discount brokers (Merrill edge, TDA, Etrade). I want to know how to transition to a non client facing role in wealth management or another financial role. I am series 7 and series 66 licensed. Any thoughts?

Is IB worth the sacrifice of WLB? Obvious pay is really good but are the prestige and pay worth it if you’re planning on only doing it for a couple years?

Currently working at an IRA with great WLB. Honestly I love my job, the firm, and people I work with.

Also doing MBA part time at a T15 school. Thinking about switching to IB but I’ve done my research and I think I would burn out of IB in two years but I might be ok with that for the opportunities after.
