Hello,
I had my interview with Infosys for .net full stack developer.
It went well and i am hoping for a positive response.
Want to know how much should I expect Or at what pkg should I negotiate with them.
I am thinking of proposing 13-15 LPA negotiable.
4 YOE and 7 LPA currently

Guys, my friend had her last working day last week and she thinks she forgot to fill her timesheet for her last 2 days before handing over the laptop. What can be the consequences of this? She is really worried about this
P.S she belongs to a back end team serving the firm internally charging time on only one code.

I wouldn’t worry too much. Some companies are taking awhile to respond to candidates due to budget constraints or uncertainty in the economy. Hang in there!

I know! It’s just so much hustle these days. I’ve gone through 11 opportunities just in September. Got rejected 4 times after being finalist, ghosted after “Oh, you have such a great experience, I’ll get back to you next week, we need you” 3 times, 2 positions got cancelled, and 2 are still in the work. And I didn’t even started looking for real yet. So I’m thinking if I want to add to the list another folks who are gonna torture me for hours.
I have an interesting experience, mostly because my ex-employer was managed by clueless lunatics who believed they knew how to save the world. So I worked through 7 international assignments, hyper-growth, hyper-scaling, crisis, downsizing, innovation cycles, it was 8 years of emotional rollercoaster. So sometimes I think hiring managers just pass me around like a fascinating podcast and then settle for someone with less baggage :).
I think you are over thinking it. Why not have the conversation??

Yeah, it makes sense. I’m just having a tad bit PTSD from my ex and seeing red flags everywhere :)
Go for it, then fix their hiring process when you get on board. Sounds like they probably need you!

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 good way to start interview - so you probably need some ideas how to improve talent acquisition...
The one thing I have noticed is when roles are open for some time it means they have done some interviewing and have been able to refine what they want and also what they don’t want. It can be a good thing or a red flag. It might be worth asking them why they contacted you later in the process compared to previous applicants. Or even ask them if their perspective on the role has changed since they started interviewing for it.
Two thoughts on this: (1) You never know what has/is going on at the company. Perhaps the position was being reconsidered, perhaps the original hiring manager left the company, perhaps there was a first group of interviews and they didn't like any of those, so restarting... So you don't know what drove the long wait; I would hesitate to make conclusions. On the other hand, (2) I have learned across my career that your experience of a company during the hiring process will likely be highly reflective of your experience as an employee. If this is a company that takes forever to respond to job applicants, it might be slow on any decision-making process. Something to poke around during your interview process. If that's not your cup of tea, you might want to pass, if offered. But I would at least take the first interview.

I just had my first interview with them. And you’re right, they pretty much posted a job before they had headcount approval. And when recruiters do that and then wait for 2 months to get approval it is def a sign of decision making process

Fun stuff - job posting has already been removed and I have no idea what the job description look like, only know the title, cause recruiter mentioned it.
Right now it is hard to know as nothing is following a normal pattern. I always say take the meeting, but have your questions ready and get clarity on their situation.
From my perspective the more interviewing you can do the more practice you get!

Another opportunity I started interviewing for on July 13 just invited me for another round of 4 back-to-back interviews, and I have already had 4 interviews with them. But that’s European company, they were on vacations through the whole summer, so I’m forgiving. Or am I too forgiving???
Chief
Yes and no, when we started the process they warned me that it’s vacation time. I have always been speaking with HRBPs and yet to meet a single recruiter. But when I talked to the unit CEO last weeks he said they had turnover and comp issues, and since I was interviewing for the head of HR of the unit job I asked - what about recruitment? and she nodded.
In the beginning they were like - what are convenient slots for you - I send them a list of slots and they were sending me an invite (with no even “Hey, how are you, here is an invite”) for a completely different slot. If it wasn’t a position that can have it all fixed, I’d dropped out long ago

Update: just had the first interview. They posted a job before headcount was approved, and it was approved last week so they started interviewing
