I feel like it makes the most sense for at-risk people to get the vaccine first. For us, being low-risk means we can continue to practice safety measures until the vaccine has been tested more thoroughly.
Absolutely getting a flu shot though.

Not sure why the most vulnerable population should be the first to get a vaccine that may have horrible side effects but we haven’t tested enough to determine them. Seems a little sacrificial

I won’t be getting one until they’ve gone thru proper Phase 3 trials and demonstrably show efficacy and safety.

But he has been so successful in his other business ventures such as mail-order steaks. No, wait - airlines. No, wait - for-profit college. No, wait - casinos. No, wait - sports leagues.
Wait, when has he ever been successful?

Absolutely not 🙅🏻♀️
I tried to volunteer for Moderna’s Phase 3 trials, but was rejected because I did not “regularly interact with the public a minimum of 5 days per week.”
Haha, no. But I am high risk and on a client site three days per week.

Depends on my options. If the other one is to be on lockdown forever, then sure why not
Plus the concern with fast approval isn’t side effects, it’s having enough time to prove efficacy.

What we want what’s medically and practically possible are different things. I admit I haven’t read up on the Emergency Powers suggestion so you can take my opinion for what it’s worth, but my understanding is that there’s the regular process that can take years, then there’s an expedited process, and this is a super accelerated emergency process.
It’s physically impossible for them to conduct the same level or duration of testing in this timeframe.
That is not to say that it’s impossible for it to be safe and effective, because of course that’s possible, but the regular process is what it is for a reason. I will still wait and see because that is a choice that I have available to me.
I’ll wait it out and see what happens to whoever gets it. If you turn into zombies, I’m hiding

thought they were releasing it in waves? elders and healthcare workers first, then teachers and essential workers, then inmates, then most of us, and finally whoever is left

i’ve been thinking about it, curious to hear other thoughts
Too rushed for me. Will wait on this one. Definitely getting flu shot though.
Copywriter 1, vaccine development happens more quickly during the first-ever global pandemic. Things can always get done faster when people put their mind to it. Being faster has nothing to do with anything. The sole question is what corners are cut and how much they matter. I, for one, will trust Fauci and not myself, as he is a doctor and I am not.
