Some customers live in my heart that I have cried with, laughed with, and still pray for. They’ve changed my life. Ever had a customer or client leave a lasting impression on you?

Yes I did. This old man used to come in all the time to visit me. He was a repeat customer and he only wanted to come to me. He would always ask when i was in next so he could come visit me. He was a sweet old man who would makes sales with me but would also come to me with a ton of technical problems as well. But it was so sweet and he treated me so nice he was like a grandfather to me that i didn't have.

I deal with some elderly people on the phone. I know a lot of them are lonely. It's sad. I've also had to have these tough calls. I think some people just want someone to listen. I had one such call today. I started by trying to fix the problem, but it soon became clear that the customer had no interest in having her problem fixed and just wanted to talk about how sad she was as she was elderly and alone. So I abandoned the call purpose and listened to her and agreed it was difficult for her.

Working in collections, as I have for the last 5 years, brings you into contact with some very memorable people. When I worked medical, some would tell me all about their diseases, even STDS. I would tell them I'm sorry, I can't discuss these things, but I am glad you feel better. Most are very pleasant to me because I am pleasant to them. It's an interesting job.

Has anyone received equity as contingency comp? I have a potential client with a founders dispute. He doesn’t have cash, and the other founder ripped him off and is now running the company. He wants to sue for equity and wants to pay me with whatever equity he wins. I’ve never done a deal like that. Is that even enforceable? CA law. The startup is actually quite promising.

I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Are you traveling during the pandemic or have client interactions been virtual? Lastly, if you are a consultant here, are you on billable hours? My current consulting role is not - so this would be new.

Any resume writer referrals? I’m trying to make the jump into project management. I have 13YOE managing cross-departmental projects and people, and I’d like to shed the general EA work of calendars/travel/expenses. But recruiters just see my most recent role is EA and that’s all they want to talk to me about. I’m hoping a better written resume will help target algorithms to get my resume viewed for other roles.

My client wants both parties to list assets & liabilities as an exhibit to their prenup without values, but waive the right to know the actual valuation of those in the prenup itself. My initial thought is this is a terrible idea & would probably make the prenup easily voidable since a main requirement for a prenup is for both to understand the nature and value of the other’s assets. I will research in my jurisdiction to confirm, but has anyone ever heard of/done this? Thoughts?

Hello PwC AC Friends,

I have been on bench since I joined the firm 3 months ago. Now I have got project but still on bench. I have got mail regarding not raising snapshots because I was on bench so i didn't do anything except trainings and some learning. I don't have hours to raise snapshot for.

What shall I do in this case? I am very much worried that if i don't have any project hours to show, will they fire me or what actions are supposed to be taken ? Thanks.

Anyone else super unimpressed with administrative support with a new firm after lateraling? I told a partner I’d just take care of a routine task myself. He told me my rate is too high and to use a “project manager” (basically an intern they can pay less than a paralegal). We have a 40 person group and 3 project managers making starvation wages. Big firm. You’d know the name.
