Currently interviewing for a VC Associate role (pre-MBA), a FAANG PM Role, and have 2 Series A funded startup offers for product/growth. Does it make sense to wait until I can get MBB experience?
I’m considering an asset management role at a very small REPE firm. They have roughly $250M AUM in the US and Asia. Overall, I really like the team but the base salary and benefit package is underwhelming. The upside is the firm is very supportive of the part-time MBA program I’m currently enrolled in and offer a flexible schedule.
I’m still relatively new to CRE (3yrs) and I think this role would give me great exposure but the low salary gives me pause. Any thoughts?
Thoughts on MBA once already an associate?
Genuine question - why is an MBA required/highly preferred for a role in consulting? Is it solely because consultancies recruit through the MBA pipeline? Is it a special skill set acquired? Networks that come with it?

Hi all. I have got an offer from EY for Manager position with a rank of 32 in financial risk consulting. I have relevant experience of 9 years in financial services (non-consulting though) and 3 years in IT before MBA (not relevant for this role).
Is the designation provided fair given the experience? Also, how do we find out the scale of the position (1, 2 or 3)?

Hi Folks! Favor to ask here for my SO: Any INSEAD interview tips? Or good resources for MBA interview guides in general? Thanks 🙏🙏🙏
Relatively new to consulting after 16 years in F50 industry and realizing consulting probably isn’t right for me; looking for ideas on possible exit roles to target. Started out technical with CS/math undergrad but did the MBA and moved into management side. I’ve done internal product development, service owner roles, spent a long time in enterprise arch, and have led teams up to 60 (with managers under me). Any thoughts on good roles to target?
Watson can kiss my shiny metal ass.
Why do recruiters ask for your current pay? Are you mandated to give them? Assuming you create figures do they verify?

Folks, my current 401k won’t allow reverse rollover of my IRAs with pre-tax money to 401k. The step I need to do to avoid pro rata.
Any idea how to get around this? Do I have to give up on backdoor Roth?

One of my best friends started dating a guy during the start of the pandemic. They’re long distance so whenever they get a chance to see each other it’s a big deal. They have a trip planned for Xmas time but he just tested positive for Covid last week. He has mild symptoms. She decided she is going on the trip anyway and I’m floored.

How does your company differentiate between cyber work and IT risk advisory (not related to external audits) work? There seems to be a significant amount of overlap at the accounting firms.
