Got out and did my MBA full-time. Worked perfectly, but you don’t get paid when school is out (Spring Break, Xmas break) or if you’re off during the summer.
Big caveat: not all colleges are created equally. Biggest mistake most vets make not considering what companies they’d like to work for and where those companies recruit. Most only formally recruit from a handful of schools.
Go to the best school you can.

Echo others responses go to a real school. Use service to School or equivalent to help
Please transfer to a state school of some kind. I went to a school that was AMU equivalent and wish I wouldn’t have
M1 and C1 are correct on this, no company worth working for is going to take an AMU degree seriously, beyond any check in the box it might do for qualifications.
Also frustrating, I went to American University (in Washington DC) and many I served with will be like "oh yea I know a few people that went to AMU, how did you like it?" It's always a bit awkward when I have to explain how different they are.
Please, do not give AMU another dollar. Use your benefits at a reputable school that will actually matter on your resume, not a predatory for-profit degree mill.
Go full time GI Bill; finish your undergrad at a State university (not a diploma mill); then get a graduate degree with your remaining GI Bill. Do it now or you won’t go back and do it later.
Getting Post 9/11 paperwork sorted out shouldn’t take you more than 1-3 hours every year. First time May take a little bit longer to figure out the process, but it’s simple once you get the hang of it
Move to cali and go to UCLA, Berkeley, Irvine

You can also start a job and finish your BS. They aren’t mutually exclusive. But please transfer to a non-diploma mill school if you’re finishing out the education. Your future self will thank you.
Also, you should check out the veterans Reddit forums to talk about schools as well. A lot of engagement from people who are in school now.
I hat to say this outloud because about half of my family are Ohio State alumni, but University of Michigan is the best public university in the country. I did not notice in previous comments there is also the seemingly small caveat that you must be a full time student (12 credit hrs). I had a very cool employer who was great with my class schedule.
Unless the policy changed it's a tough row to hoe. Worth it but equitable to a romantic date in prison.

Any Big 10 school is give you a respected degree
I’ll make this short. If you are retiring and want to live comfortable, find a career that makes you happy. If money makes you happy, than do what they say. Attend a real school. I would at look at all your benefits. Don’t just attend a school for its name either. I work with so many teachers that went to school for ____ at UCXX or XXState that are still in debt, and for what? To get paid the same as I do, a dude that went to National University? I has no teaching credential at the time and only had a Business degree. I have a credential but in the end, if you get hired, who give a fudge as to what school you want to. Like I said, if you want to get out and make good money, YES, go to these schools. In the end, what is going to make you happy? If you are just getting out and not retiring, use your GI BILL, use it at a decent school, but don’t get wrapped around the name. In the end, it’s just a piece of paper. I have buddies that got out after 4, they have no college degree and make well over 200k in real estate. FIND WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY, we have all earned it.
When I tried to apply to Gov’t jobs, I eventually gave up. So many of my buddies that are there now have no degree, they retired as E8/9’s and get GS10 or above jobs. As I applied, I wasn’t “qualified” for those positions, knowing darn well that I have more of an education. So for all those getting out, no retiring, seek vets and ask massive questions. So many opportunities due to veteran status that people are not aware of. Yellow ribbon, tuition free due to disability rating, being from Texas, etc. use as many benefits as possible before GI bill. Also, get a part time at Starbucks. As long as you get 25hrs a week, they pay for your education at Arizona State. All you Pay is for books. Then you can save your GI Bill for Masters.
