Lots of Accenture layoff posts in the internal bowl
No layoffs at Accenture - just low performers identified in the performance process who are being managed out (around 5% across the company). Happens yearly, just perhaps a little more this year given the weak revenue expectations.
Those who needed improvement, were below expectations, got rolled off and/or low utilization/lack of skills were mainly affected. There are a few decent performers here and there that get unlucky - but largely just business as usual for those not performing as expected.

Lol it’s definitely performance based. Either you had poor feedback and/or chargeability, or you had decent performance but you’re just behind your peers in your practice which caused you to land in the lowest 5% bucket. Just because you’re 100% chargeable doesn’t mean anything. Pretty much everyone has good utilization metrics.
This isn’t any different than the managing out that occurs every single October with the exception of last year
Accenture fish need to stop deflecting. If people are getting notified that their last day is in ~2-3 weeks, it is NOT regular old “managing out of low performers”. And if it is, you have shit culture.
To gaslight these people is really toxic. Getting laid off sucks (been there).
Accenture 4 wow lol. It has happened to me so I am super sympathetic. And a lot of people tried to spin the “low performer” angle and that felt shitty
Must be pretty convenient to add a few % to manging out low performers and avoid calling it layoffs.

CapGemini had a small number of layoffs a couple weeks ago; a couple people posted about it

You’re a managing partner Lmfao you know better than most on here come on now
We haven’t hit the numbers anyone would consider “layoffs” at Accenture. We’re doing a normal managing out process of the bottom 5%
AFS as well?
No real layoffs here yet, but a pretty hefty hiring freeze and promo freeze, rumored to be through q1
Accenture USA today and tmrw, last day 11/1. I’ve heard it’s a yearly trim of low performers but some of the comments haven’t been consistent with that.
I’m Canada though.
Canada starts next Monday and yea it’s largely low performers, apparently
I wish EY took this approach
What is the EY approach?
A ton of Accenture layoffs
Nah business as usual, managing low performers out
Low performance only right now
No layoff at EY.
