Time entry takes 5 minutes. Not doing it Is like being bad at tying your shoes.
Would you bad at it if you had to write an invoice in order to receive your paycheck?
Set a calendar reminder !
I don’t want to sound like a dick OP, but if you can’t handle time compliance it’s highly unlikely you have the skills necessary to succeed in this job. If you can’t remember, take D1s advice and set a calendar reminder
Getting fired over a legit reason will atleast make u look badass, but time compliance?
You won't get fired. But you won't be in a highly accelerated group either.
I was bad at it, and still am. Think I did alright though.
Might not be eligible for a 1 or 2 if you don’t have > 80% compliance
Everyone’s got room for improvement right?
No but actually
I’m with EY1 on this. Seriously the easiest metric to ace especially at associate level. Not only does it take like 2 seconds, you can do it in advance and true-up/ down at end of week. How?
Set a weekly reminder on your phone. There’s really no excuse. This is how we get paid and it will very likely make a difference in your year end comp.
That is the lowest expectation set OP, there is no room for improvement on that one. Just get it done, whatever way works for you
OP, don’t try to fight everyone here. You have to suck it up and do it. As SA2 said, this is the lowest expectation set.
My question is why aren’t you able to get it done? Are you on multiple engagements? Are you unable to track time you’re spending at work? You yourself will be able to evaluate why you won’t or don’t want to fill your timesheet, what is stopping you?
If you’re on a single engagement and basically work on it all week, there’s literally no excuse to not charge 40 hours to a single engagement code.
Had a couple months where my director was telling us to hold off on hours / reducing hours and was only a few months into the job and another resource on my team said I couldn’t reduce client hours without filling out a correction form so I didn’t end up parking hours anywhere :/
Wait, this is new information. Can you explain this to your counselor?
