Time entry takes 5 minutes. Not doing it Is like being bad at tying your shoes. Would you bad at it if you had to write an invoice in order to receive your paycheck? Set a calendar reminder !

I don’t want to sound like a dick OP, but if you can’t handle time compliance it’s highly unlikely you have the skills necessary to succeed in this job. If you can’t remember, take D1s advice and set a calendar reminder

Getting fired over a legit reason will atleast make u look badass, but time compliance?

You won't get fired. But you won't be in a highly accelerated group either.

I was bad at it, and still am. Think I did alright though.

Might not be eligible for a 1 or 2 if you don’t have > 80% compliance

Everyone’s got room for improvement right?

No but actually

I’m with EY1 on this. Seriously the easiest metric to ace especially at associate level. Not only does it take like 2 seconds, you can do it in advance and true-up/ down at end of week. How?

Set a weekly reminder on your phone. There’s really no excuse. This is how we get paid and it will very likely make a difference in your year end comp.

That is the lowest expectation set OP, there is no room for improvement on that one. Just get it done, whatever way works for you

OP, don’t try to fight everyone here. You have to suck it up and do it. As SA2 said, this is the lowest expectation set. My question is why aren’t you able to get it done? Are you on multiple engagements? Are you unable to track time you’re spending at work? You yourself will be able to evaluate why you won’t or don’t want to fill your timesheet, what is stopping you? If you’re on a single engagement and basically work on it all week, there’s literally no excuse to not charge 40 hours to a single engagement code.

Had a couple months where my director was telling us to hold off on hours / reducing hours and was only a few months into the job and another resource on my team said I couldn’t reduce client hours without filling out a correction form so I didn’t end up parking hours anywhere :/

Wait, this is new information. Can you explain this to your counselor?

A lot of layoffs happening again. Any tips for a woman in her late 20’s looking to change careers or companies? What resources have been helpful, for you, as you have looked for new opportunities and advocated for your worth?

Layoffs are obviously always sensitive to message - what’s the best approach you’ve seen a firm take to doing so? Not the individual conversations for those getting laid off, but leadership’s broader communications to the firm leading up to and announcing the decision.

I was laid off on June 26. I am international and my OPT is coming to an end very soon. I had a call with an immigration lawyer today. Deloitte unfortunately does not offer additional support for immigrants. I am qualified and in need of a job ASAP. I have until July 24th to find a job or I will have to start a new educational program or leave the US. JOB REQS: 20-40 hours per week, offer compensation, e-verify employer, STEM in CS/InfoSys/CompEng Please help.

I was trying hard to get a new job in NYC before pandemic but obviously had to put all that on hold. Now I’ve been at my first agency for over 3 years now and am worried I’ll be pigeon-holed in the niche creative I’ve been doing. I still want to go to NYC eventually but don’t know when or how. Should I just be counting my blessings that I have a job? Is it awful that I almost wish I was laid off so I could finally just jump ship and move to NYC and make it work?

With about 25k in emergency savings and monthly costs of 2.5k/month, I’m actually not too worried about potential layoff. Is this naive??? Or just privilege.

Hi Everyone, I need your help, please. I have a student who simply does not stay on track unless an adult is monitoring him. His quizzes go unfinished and writing assignments are put aside to browse online. I also would like to ask if there is a way to prevent him from browsing other websites online during instructional time? I am open to suggestions on how to keep him on track during Math and Writing assignments. Any assistance with this would be helpful. Thank you, Jas
