Thinking about jumping from Production (vendor) to Accounts (agency) and eyeing an AD role. I’ve never worked at an agency but have worked closely with many on campaigns. I have a lot of client management and biz dev experience + was client side once upon a time. Sr Producer now at large company but was EP and HOP at smaller spot for years. Led large teams, managed budgets, & schedules. Perfect fit for my transferable skills? What am I missing? What else do I need to know about the AD role?

Hired as SA1. if my utilization is low for round table but I’ve gotten good Snapshots will I go up to SA2 or SA1B, which I don’t want of course.

Hi! I’m a young professional with less than 2 years experience, started a new job 1.5 months ago. I’m having quite some difficulties on balancing out my response time to tasks. While I act incredibly fast if not immediately with some, I sometimes take 1-2 weeks with couple of hours worthy ones. Anyone else finding it very difficult to get any enjoyment out of account management these days? Any coping tips? I feel like being an account person is especially difficult in the COVID era since so much of what we do is manage communications, ensure the team is set up well etc. None of this feels particularly fun alone staring into the void of Zoom all day ... but the same pressure is still there. How do you deal with a passive aggressive supervisor who regularly points fingers and throws people under the bus?

I have overall 3 years of post grad experience but 2 years of AE experience. Is it unrealistic to apply for Senior AE roles? How about Account Supervisor?

Is 7 weeks too early to start thinking I may have made a huge mistake in switching to my current gig? I left the last place because it was overr toxic and terrible W/L balance, for one that seemed to be more “fun” and more realistic hours, only to find that I’ve now been working 12 -14 hours a day and just drowning and feeling like I cannot catch up or catch my breath. Everyone is in the same boat here which is why I’m so overwhelmed so quickly with no support. Is this an immediate red flag?

Right so here’s a bit of a dilemma I work to a much higher standard at home and it’s this high standard that means I’m in line for a promotion. I’ve grown so much and I feel really strong in my role I’m also busier than ever. The problem is we’re going back into the office and I don’t want to go in if it’s just going to be senior management in asking me to get them lunches for client meetings or fetch a glass of water and cutlery for meeting rooms.
